Environmental Medicine & Mold Related Illness
We are constantly interacting with our environment, and sometimes our environment can play a large role in the symptoms we experience. The air we breathe, the buildings we spend time in, the products we use, and other environmental exposures can all influence how we feel. This is particularly relevant for individuals who are already experiencing complex or chronic health concerns.
At Radiance, our approach to environmental medicine focuses on understanding whether environmental factors may be contributing to a your symptoms and if so, which ones. We explore a careful history of potential exposures from homes you have lived in, workplace exposures, and other environmental factors that could be contributing to your overall health. We determine if various types of testing, both for yourself and your environment, are necessary to determine the exact exposures that are fueling your symptoms.
When appropriate, we may evaluate environmental contributors alongside other aspects of your health, including immune function, gastrointestinal health, nutrition, detoxification and elimination pathways, and overall resilience.
Treatment is individualized and may involve reducing or removing ongoing exposures, supporting foundational health, addressing nutritional needs, and using targeted therapies when clinically appropriate.
Environmental medicine is rarely about one exposure or one treatment. We look at the whole picture to help determine what factors may be relevant to your health and what steps are most appropriate for you.
